Lenten Movie Series 2018

This will be the third year for our Lenten Movie at 7:00 pm in the Holy Family Hall. Please come, bring a pillow and snacks. When time allows, the movie is followed by discussion and comment. The films this year are:

Mother Teresa (2003 – 177 min.)

February 19
This film starring Olivia Hussey tells the beautiful and inspiring story of the now saint, Mother Teresa of Calcutta.

Edith Stein (1995 – 110 min.)

February 26
A moving artistic portrayal of the life of Jewish philosopher, Catholic convert and Carmalite Martyr; Edith Stein.

Ignatius of Loyola (2016 – 126 min.)

March 5
A modern and very human take on the story of St. Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Jesuits, often called the “saint of second chances.”

Therese (2006 – 177 min.)

March 19 (in the church building)
This file recounts the life of St. Therese of Lisieux, one of the most popular saints of modern times.

The Passion of the Christ (2004 – 126 min.)

March 26
This controversial portrayal of the events of Holy Week portrays the suffering of Christ in the most real of ways. This is the only fil that would not be appropriate for elementary-aged children.
