Sunday Religious Education Classes for Children & Youth

General Information……

We offer Pre-K through 8th grade classes. Opportunities for 9th through 12th grade are available as well.

Certified volunteer instructors assist students in developing an awareness of the presence of God through the sacraments, liturgies, and church history. Classes are held on Sunday mornings 10:15 to 11:15 AM in the school building.

All children are welcome and encouraged to attend! This includes those with special needs or circumstances.

These classes are fun for your child, and an important part of their faith formation. Call now to get signed up, or drop in on Sunday morning and we will get you registered. We accept new students all year long!

If you are new to the parish, we would love to welcome you and your family into our community. Please call anytime- someone would love to talk with you about our program and how we can best assist you with teaching the Catholic faith to your child.

Adult Religious Formation

Faith enrichment for Catholic adults will take place each Sunday, following the same schedule as the children’s classes. These discussions are geared toward topics for parents of school aged children, but anyone is welcome to participate. Sessions are held in the end of the school by the Religious Education Office. Topics will vary based on suggestions and input from those attending. Come enjoy a cup of coffee, casual learning environment, and the good company of other Catholic adults.

First Reconciliation, First Holy Communion and Confirmation

Preparation for the sacraments is a two year process. Therefore, children who would like to make their First Holy Communion in the Second Grade need to be in a Catholic School or Religious Education Program in First Grade. Those who wish to be Confirmed in the Eighth Grade need to be in a Catholic School or Religious Education Program in the Seventh Grade.

If you have a situation where this has not happened, please contact us and we will work with you to figure out the best way to prepare your child to recieve the sacraments.

Children’s Liturgy of the Word

Volunteers read and discuss the gospel with children ages 3 – 7 (or prior to First Communion) during part of the 11:30 a.m. Sunday Mass.
Contact Jason Caywood 801-946-1072 for more information.

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults

R.C.I.A. Inquiry Classes are designed for people who wish to become Catholic. Anyone who is interested in the Catholic faith should contact Mari at 801-527-2037 for a no pressure conversation about the process. Instructors are adult catechists; volunteers from the parish sponsor the candidates.

Sponsors are always needed!  The only requirement is that you love your faith. We will provide any training and guidance that you need.

Please contact Mari if you are interested in being a sponsor, or if you would like more information about the process.

Vacation Bible School

Volunteer parents and youth helpers produce an annual Vacation Bible School during summer. This is a fun week for everyone! All children are welcome to participate.
